Aventine’s House

L’Aventino è uno dei sette colli su cui nacque l’antica Roma ed è un piccolo ritiro residenziale fatto di antichi monasteri, giardini di rose e aranci e ville.

Su questo colle mi è stato chiesto di ristrutturare un appartamento con giardino per realizzare delle unità potenzialmente indipendenti che condividessero i servizi comuni adatte ad ospitare per brevi periodi visitatori della città eterna.

Ho amato questo progetto fino alla fine, sfortunatamente non è stata una storia a lieto fine e non la racconterò, ma mi rimane ancora la sensazione dello charme del luogo e quello della casa che risiede nel gusto della proprietaria.

 

Aventine is one of the seven hills where Rome was built and it’s a small quite residential retreat made of monastery, rose and oranges gardens and villas.

It’s up on this hill that I’ve been asked to refurbish an apartment with garden to work out some potentially independent unities, gathered around common services, conceived to host the Eternal City short term visitors.

I loved this project until the end, unfortunately it wasn’t an happy-ending story and I’m not going to tell it, but still remains to me the impression of the location charm and the venue one due to the taste of the owner.
